Superbob Records was created in 1993 by Monoxides drummer and Moncton music enthusiast Ken Kelley. The independent label went on to become an integral part of the Moncton music scene and released efforts from many acclaimed Maritime bands/artists.  After the release of The Monoxides last full length, The Free Release of Energy (2000), the label went on hiatus indefinitely.

On November 3rd 2008, Superbob was resurrected by Moncton audio engineer/music enthusiast Kyle McDonald with the joint help of Ken Kelley and Steve Hickox.

The fall of 2009 til now, Superbob endured some bumps in the road - but things are more focused and better than ever leading into 2010 and beyond.
